Mount Washington, Cog Railroad, Train, b&w

Time flies…when your having fun!

Today is the one year anniversary of  Fotoblography.com! It has been a fun and educational year sharing my photos with you all and visiting your photoblogs as well! I really can’t believe it has been a year already. A year ago today this train was the first photo that I posted to my blog so today I decided to convert it to b&w to give it a more old time feel.

You have probably noticed that I have been doing some spring cleaning too and I am now using a new theme on my blog! I figured after a year it was time for a change. As you may have noticed the images are now larger so I hope they will be easier to see! If anyone notices any bugs I may have missed with my new layout please let me know.

I want to thank everyone for their visits and posts especially the regulars! Last year there were over 2,800 comments on this site which is WAY more then I ever would have imagined when I first started! Having this outlet to share my photos has really meant alot and now when I am out shooting I am constantly thinking if the photo is good enough to be posted or not, and I am taking photos more than I ever have. So stick around hopefully the next year will be even better than the last!

Mount Washington Boat, Island, Lake, lake winnipesaukee

I got this vantage point of Lake Winnipesaukee from a scenic overlook on the side of the highway. I have posted a photo of this island before but on this particular day I was lucky as the famous Mount Washington boat happened to be passing right as I was taking the photo.  I thought it was cool that the island was smaller then the boat!

Mount Washington Boat, Lake Winnipesaukee, NH, Sepia

Here is a photo of the famous MS Mount Washington on Lake Winnipesaukee. If you have ever been to Lake Winnipesaukee in the summer chances are good you have seen this huge boat sometime during your stay. It is very popular with tourists and gives tours of the lake every few hours. I converted this photo to sepia tone and added the noise to give the photo an old time look.

Mount Washington Cog Railroad train

This is a picture I took a couple of years ago on the top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. It is the famous cog railroad that takes you to the top of the mountain. The color really pops on this one and I like how the action of the smoke pouring out of the chimney and the water pouring onto the track is frozen in time. I was really lucky to get this shot as I was on a different train going down the mountain and I had to take this picture out of the window. Came out pretty good considering imo!
