I processed this shot pretty heavily and eventually decided I liked this one the most. It has a sort of desolate feel to it that I liked. What do you think did I over-process it?

By now I am sure everyone has heard about the devastating earthquake in Haiti this week. These photos were taken by my brother when he was on a missions trip to Haiti last year.  I too have been to Haiti and have seen first hand the poverty there. I can’t even imagine how bad things are now after this major earthquake and with the capitol being basically leveled. Please consider donating to a reputable charity to help the people of Haiti if you can. One charity I recommend donating to is Compassion International’s Haiti Disaster Relief Fund. Compassion already had a large presence in Haiti before this earthquake and they have people on the ground working to help those affected. If not Compassion then please consider another reputable charity if you can, and please pray for and remember the people of Haiti. Click on an image below to make it larger.

Looking through this foggy window in a cabin by a lake the man on the bench seemed to be haunted by the shadowy figure outside the window.

This street musician in Boston, MA was very focused on his music.

I took this photo this past weekend at Hampton Beach, NH. There were not many people around because of Hurricane Bill. Luckily the Hurricane missed New England for the most part.

This turtle  suit made me smile when I saw it. I took this outside of the New England Aquarium in Boston, MA and as you can see this Turtle attracted quite the crowd.

Just thought this was funny seeing this guy with his laptop and headphones on this old looking Tall Ship!

If you have been visiting my photoblog for awhile you may remember that last year I posted alot of photos from the annual Hampton Beach Sand Sculpture contest.  This past week the 2009 contest was held. I was sadly not able to stay to see any of the finished designs but I was lucky to of least see one of the artists in the very early stages of creating his sculpture. Here is a photo I took a couple of weeks ago of some people across the pond out enjoying the fine fall weather.

This was taken that same foggy day at the beach as the Life Guard Photo. I was just taking a general shot of the beach with the fog and it was not until later that I noticed this woman in a red dress who seemed to be posing for a picture. Maybe someone else was taking her photo the same time I took mine? In any event I thought she really stood out in her red dress compared to everyone else in bathing suits. This photo has been heavily cropped and I also desaturated most of the colors except for her.
