Lots of exciting developments in the owl family! First of all the first baby owl has left its hole and is now in another tree! The parents still seem to take care of it and it cant really fly yet. I will post a photo of him later in the week. This is the second owl baby. I took this photo yesterday afternoon with my Tamron 70-300 lens combined with my Tamron 1.4x TC. As you can see he is getting big! Soon after this photo he left the hole as well and is now high up in this tree on the branches! He often stretches and flaps his wings to practice flying. And I thought that was all of them but nope soon I saw a third baby owl head in the hole! So there is still another baby owl in there. I also got some great shots of the mother owl. I will post one of her this week too! So this is Owl week on Fotoblography.com!

Mother nature sure knew how to make them blend in. That is very cool.
How cool. Looking forward to seeing the others.
Wow, this is amazing Andy! I can’t believe how fast those owls are growing; I’ll bet it is a hard time for the parents providing food and then having to figure out where the young ‘uns are!
Ya the parents are pretty much grabbing any small animal that moves trying to keep up with feeding them all! Trust me you dont want to be a chipmunk around here!!
excellent capture, very well done
Superb capture with a very good framing. Have a lovely evening Andy.
Owls are so cool. Looks like it is a pretty big for a baby. It looks like it is checking ya out.
What is striking about this image, Andy, is that the owl looks like it’s part of the tree…like a wood carving!
Ya they really blend in well with the trees dont they!
very neat shot!!! he’s looking right at ya… reminds me of the scene from ‘my cousin vinny’ when the owl screeches and vinny goes out with a gun and starts blazing and the owl just waits for him to stop and screeches again
Beautiful photograph and good capture, very good realization, well with you.
Amazing!! Am loving following the story - in word and image - of their growth and development. So cool!!!
very cute photo of the owl here.
fantastic camouflage
awesome! i like the detail texture of the tree and great color contrast
Well spotted, this baby owl really is camoflaged amongst the bark. Some super zooming, you must really have held your camera very still for this, well done!
