At long last I am back! Here in northern MA we had a huge ice storm Thursday night that knocked out power in my town from Thursday night all the way until Sunday Night so that is why I have not been posting new photos! The bad news was we had no power for all that time so had to stay warm via a wood stove in very cold conditions (it was 15°F on Saturday night) but the good news is my camera’s batteries where all charged up already! I ended up taking hundreds of photos of all the ice on the trees and everywhere. Over the next few days I will post some of my favorites. While it was fun taking the photos I am very glad to have power again!

WOW! Just a few miles away..and we got nothing other than rain. We did - however - hear about you guys. Glad to hear you’ve back ‘online’..and with heat and electricity. Bet you got some great photos!!!!
Love how you captured the ice dripping off the trees.
Sounds like you’ve had your hands full there, Andy. And you’ve also been missing the fun over at Shutterchance where the server has gone down and mayhem has ensued!! Ha ha
This is a lovely photograph, beautiful and atmospheric.
Regards from FLOOG
We’re having 15° weather, too, and colder at night. I can’t imagine having no electricity. You’re lucky to have a wood stove. Glad you’re back!
Very nice compo. Beautiful image. I like it!
good photos!
Not having power = not fun at all. I can’t imagine how you coped through those days without electricity, but you pulled through nicely. This image is very nicely seen. Love the squiggles portrayed here!
Ice is fun isn’t it. I like the cold gray sky to go with your iced tree branches. Cool shot!
oh man, what a drag.. if it weren’t for the wooden stove, where will you get heat? tsk3.. it’s nice to hear you’ve weathered the storm & had some photos too..
eeeyah you’re lucky you had the wood stove! glad you’re back, safe and warm, nice picture tho!
Another beautiful composition , I feel cold just looking ! Good job.
No power is a pit! I’m glad you’re back to normal again. I like the iced tree pictures. This is one of nature’s acts that make us realize that we don’t control very much on this earth!
Wow, no power more than sucks. But glad you are getting back on your feet. I can’t wait to see the photos! Keep warm.
We actually received some winter weather last night. Nice blues in your image.
We were clipped by that storm but luckily we were spared where I am. I cannot imagine how difficult it was to deal with no power in such cold. We have a generator just in case!
As terrible as ice storms are, they do offer fantastic photo ops! Beautiful!
The eeriest thing about ice covered trees is the way they sound when they sway in the wind. So strange and beautiful.
