I tried this picture in color first but after converting it to b&w I decided it looked alot better this way. The white hanging flowers stand out better in the b&w version then they did on the color one against the green leaves.

Absolutely. I agree with the greyscale. To me, greyscale flowers are gorgeous. This is the bloom of a Hosta Lily isn’t it? Lovely.
I dont know what its called but thanks for the info!
Good composition, to stay in B & W, I would have tried to correct a little by increasing the contrast.
nice shot.. good decision to do it in b&w, i like the dof as well..
Love the softness of the black and white. Changes the whole experience. Really nice!
A fine B&W version of this flower. Doing flowers in B&W takes some nerve and good processing - you’ve pulled it off very well!
I love the idea of doing this in black and white. I think you might have been able to pull a little more contrast out of this one. The whites could be whiter and the tonal range of the grays is a bit muddy. Did you just convert to grayscale? There are a lot of methods to convert to black and white and converting to grayscale is rarely the best choice from my experience.
I played with it a little but I will admit I was kind of tired last night and did not give the processing enough attention. Thanks for the useful critique!
Works very well as a black and white shot.
converting it to B&W had added a certain amount of smoothness and softness to it. I agree with your choice.
