I went to Newburyport MA yesterday and here is a shot looking up at a cool old church in downtown Newburyport. I took this photo with my old 3.2 mp Canon Point and Shoot Camera.

I like this steep upward view of this impressive steeple. It seems of a more elaborate design than many. Fine shot and the 3.2 does okay!
This is SO New England!! Love your perspective and point-of-view. Exellent!

This is the Unitarian Church in Newburyport, built in 1801. Lightening struck the church at some point in its history, and Benjamin Franklin, who had an interest in electricity, traveled to Newburyport to view the damage. The interior is as lovely as the exterior, with a 2nd story gallery running around three sides of the space. At Christmas a carol festival is held here, and at the beginning of it, a small brass ensemble plays carols in the steeple.
Thanks for all of the information about this church!
