Covered Bridge
This shot is of an old covered bridge originally built in 1858 that is located in the White Mountain National Forest in NH. I decided to go sort of underneath it to get a different vantage point then just taking a photo of it straight on.

Great shot Andy. I always wanted to shoot an old covered bridge. Reminds me of that National Geographic photographer from the movie Bridges of Madison County. Absolutely beautiful, what a great capture.

I am always amazed that people like covered bridges so much. But they do. Maybe it is just that they are cool. And something that we don’t see that often anymore.

Yea its probably that we don’t see them that often that makes them interesting. One cool thing about this bridge is that it is still active and in use and cars still drive over it regularly!
I like the different viewpoint. This side view gives us a better idea of how the bridge has been constructed. Right now i’m trying to remember why the bridges were covered in the first place…hmmmm.
This has certainly has withstood the test of time. Great shot.
