I forget exactly where this was taken but I know it was somewhere in the mountains of NH. I was hiking and the trail crossed an active train track that goes through the woods.

Believe it or not this photo was taken on the same day as the sand sculpture photos I have been posting. A thick fog rolled in later in the day and you could barely see in front of you. There was a sailboat race going on that day and just minutes earlier you could see them clear as day but could barely see them at all once the fog rolled in. If you want to see a clear shot of the sailboats before the fog to compare it to after the fog then click here.

Here is a shot of one of the master sand sculptors from last weekend hard at work perfecting his sculpture. If you click the image to make it larger you can see he is actually making the eyebrow in this shot.

Here is a photo I took in Newport RI of a monument of some sort that had a cannon and an anchor. You can see some of the chain from the anchor hanging above the cannon. I really liked all the bricks that where around this monument.

I could post these sand sculpture photos forever if I keep posting only one a day and I don’t want people to get bored. So I decided to make a gallery with the the rest of my favorites so I am not only posting sand sculpture pictures for the next month! Hopefully everyone has enjoyed these sand sculpture photos. Just click on the thumbnails of the photos in the gallery below to make them bigger. » Continue Reading…

Here are the master sand sculptors hard at work.

There was an advertising area for sponsors of the event that all of the sand sculptors worked on together in between working on their individual contest entries. This is one of my favorites of the sand ads! This is the final form of the monkey that I posted last week. It ended up alot different then I would have imagined based on the early version. I had no idea he would be riding on an elephant!

On Saturday I went to the annual Hampton Beach sand sculpture contest. The works of art that the sculptors made out of sand were amazing to say the least. This one of the sun I think was my favorite sand sculpture of the contest.
Over the next few days I will be posting some more of my favorite shots from the sand sculpture contest so be sure to come back.

Well I just got back from Hampton Beach again. I ended up going back to Hampton Beach today because I really wanted to see how the sand sculptures turned out that I posted about last week. I took so many photos of them that I don’t have time to go through them right now and pick one to post. I still wanted to post a photo so instead here is one that I really liked from today of a lifeguard station on the beach. I really liked the intense orange color against the blue sky and ocean.
I will start to post some of my favorite sand sculpture shots starting tomorrow so stay tuned.

On my way home from Hampton Beach I stopped to go fishing with my father in this spot right across the bay from the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant. No three eyed fish where caught

At Hampton Beach they are having their annual Sand Castle competition this week. The day I was there the contestants where just starting to make their sand castles. This partial sand castle featuring a monkey was the only one that had a recognizable shape on that day. If you want to see some of the amazing entries from last year check out the official Hampton Beach Sand Castle Gallery.

While at Hampton Beach over the weekend I saw this classic car in the parking lot and could not resist taking a photo of it. They don’t make cars like these anymore thats for sure. In 30 years I doubt anyone will be taking pictures of my Toyota Corolla!

I went to Hampton Beach in NH over the weekend and took a few shots of the boardwalk. This hotel in particular i thought had a cool old fashioned sign. It is right across from the beach so it is prime real estate.

Here is a view from my seat of the other fans around me. You can also see one of the scoreboards and the famous Fenway Left Field wall known as ” The Green Monster”.

Here is a view of Fenway Park from the bleachers during the warmups.

I went to a Red Sox game last night at Fenway Park in Boston MA. It was a perfect night for baseball, not a cloud in the sky and 77 degrees. I was sitting in the Bleacher seats behind the bullpen and here is one of my favorite shots of the night. It is of Mike Timlin from the Red Sox having a chat and watching the game with one of the police officers at the game. Anyways it was a fun time and even more so because the Red Sox won 9-2! I will post a couple of more photos from the game in the coming days so stay tuned.

Well the raccoon family I posted some pictures of a couple of weeks ago has left their tree house for another year. The baby’s where getting to big to all fit so I guess the mother found them another home as they are no longer in the tree. But momma raccoon left me with this parting shot just a few days before they left.

Here is the same old church that I posted yesterday as seen from another angle. I also left it in color this time so you could see it in a less processed form then yesterdays photo.
