Here are a few shots I took today of a Raccoon Family that lives in an old dead tree in my back yard. It is fun to look at them from my back porch with binoculars (who needs the National Geographic Channel!). Sometimes the mother even sits on the branch outside the hole when it gets to hot or she needs a break from the youngsters. So far I have seen three babies that occasionally pop their heads up in the hole. Here are a few of the better ones that I took today. Its pretty hard to get good ones because the leaves constantly blow around and make it hard to focus on the Raccoons.

Soooo CUTE!!! Love their little faces! Nice shots, you should submit the photos to National Geographic LOL. Looks like MOM stays right close to her babies, doesn’t want them falling out of that tree! I like the way the leaves are blurred and the racoons are so clear! Great photo op!
haha, these are awesome pics! rox and i are enjoying them immensely
Ooh! Choo Kawaii, very cute animals
Great shot!
How adorable. Terrific capture!
Great shot of these cute animals. Nice !
Found your blog through your post on the dpreview pentax talk forum.
Liked those raccoons! And nice shots! Must’ve taken a lot of patience!
Did the leaves in the foreground drive the autofocus crazy or did you turn it off?
Outstanding image, this could be on the front cover of a magazine. Love this shot.
Yes it was hard to get these shots because of the leaves. I did use autofocus though and there where a good number of throwaway shots because of focusing problems caused by the leaves!
A fine life-in-nature shot! I like those faces so much. The waving leaves are just a part of the natural setting. Fine image.
Cute shots.
Well spotted and captured - nice shots!
so cute
So incredible sweet. The leaves in the foreground is very good.
